Web Design, Services & Information

One of the things I have noticed is hard to come by is an affordable alternative when it comes to web design. This site is intended to bridge that gap.

All too often it seems that there are only two extremes available for those who want to build their first website: They can can either hire a designer for an astronomical fee or they can to create their own site from scratch, with varying degrees of success.

It is true that there are some freely available templates out there, but their use still requires some knowledge of HTML, especially if you intend to customize them enough to give your site its own feel and style. There are also free online site generators, but these cookie-cutter sites are too easily identified and are inappropriate for a site that has any sort of professional connotations. For a professional site you need a design that is more sophisticated than the one a free generator would create, however paying thousands of dollars for such a design usually qualifies as overkill.

If you are looling for someone who is willing to provide you with a site that is easy to navigate and features a pleasant design for a reasonable fee then you have come to the right place (I can provide you with a small custom-designed site for approximately $200.00).

While I won't deny that it would be nice of you to hire me, my services are certainly not the only thing you will find here. I have also written a series of articles that may help you create your site. These articles are not intended to teach you how to write HTML code, but they may provide you with some valuable pointers that will help you create an appealing site that is intuitive and easy to navigate. OK, I'll shut up now, these are the articles.

In addition to being a writer and a web designer I am also a professional translator (in fact I was a translator before there was a web to design for). I do English-Spanish translations mostly and I have worked with major publishers in Spanish. If you are interested this service can be provided independently or it can be combined with web design in the form of site localizations. For additional information go to the translations' page.
